Well, there are a couple of possible issues.  Macs generally use
PS(Postscript) fonts.  As far as I know Windows is still not able to support
PS fonts.  If you have TT(TrueType) fonts in that folder it maybe ok.  Even
if it can read the fonts in that folder they are likely to have slightly
different names which may cause the Win apps to not see them and sift to
their defaults.
