[cw-discuss] Fixing a linkage on a non approved application...

Hi,
I'm trying to get a non approved application to work. 99% of TaxCut 2007 works
properly, but I am having problems when it attempts to link to the internet to
get updates, or to check for updates.
TaxCut 2007 has to run in a Windows 2K (or newer) bottle, and it requires IE6 to
be present.
If I leave the bottle's browser set to automatic, TaxCut's webpage linkages work
correctly through the gekko based browser that CX uses as default.
If I set the browser to point to a version of Internet Explorer that is also
loaded into the Windows 2K bottle, webpage linkages just return without result
or message.
If I set the browser to point to a version of Internet Explorer that is in
a Windows 98 bottle (a supported application), webpage linkages also return
without result or message.
How can I observe what is happening when a button in TaxCut is pressed that
attempts to access the internet?
I need to see what the application thinks is wrong so I can figure out how to
fix it. Surely there is a way to turn on the appropriate messages in the wine
application layer?
I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks
Chuck Harris
