Andrew -- Thanks. This is certainly reinforcing the pattern that Quicken
2007 can be made to work via the CD installer.
Irwin -- Unfortunately, it appears that the combination of actions to get
the downloaded installer to work is still a mystery. I'm hoping to continue
trying combinations to see if I can get it to work.
At this point, it seems like some comparisons need to be made between a
bottle with a working Quicken 2007 (one that can do online updates) and one
that does not work. Ideally, a CD install versus a download install. I can
perform someone at Codeweavers with the latter if someone else can provide
the former.
