The linux "replacement" for .NET is mono, although it really isn't a
replacement. Not sure if it will even work for what you need it for. I
have a similar issue with TurboTax. It now requires .NET. For the first
time in several years I need to do my taxes in Windows. If I had know
about the .Net requirement I probably would not have purchased TT this year.
