Bill, could you be thinking of Mono as a .NET replacement?
I've been going the native route by using KMyMoney with the Online Bank
Exchange plugin. It generally works well, although I find the internal
reporting to be a little bit lacking (I just export the data and use
other tools to get around that issue). It's worked out well enough over
the last two years I've used it, so you might want to give it a shot.
