I was never able to get anything working with Cxoffice and my Roadmate 3050T, 
but did get the POI editing software to work somewhat using wine. Recently , 
I was able to edit and  move a POI to and from the Roadmate 3050T running  XP 
using  Virtualbox ( not open source)  which is now free - but the USB 
connection was not consistant - I would never use it to do a firmware 
upgrade. If you do get it working please post a howto as I am sure there are 
others that are interested as well.
