[cw-discuss] usefull older apps working

Firstly, there is purpose to this email other than to report the
usefulness of these apps to the world. Dont read on if you think im
wasting your time.

So as a long time computer user (like many or most of us I guess)
there's been a gradually growing list of applications that i'm perfectly
happy with, that do exactly what I want, are light weight and efficient
and that I intend to keep using for years to come. These days, it seems
that most of them work perfectly in cxoffice/cxgames.

For example, I can verify:

ACDSee v2.4
UltraEdit v7.2
UltraIso v7.2.3.897
TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5.15.49

Are all running perfectly. Ultraiso is great to convert the many less
common but out there cd image formats to iso for use in linux (such as
padus diskjuggler etc) and today its been very nice experience to encode
dvd video with mencoder on the command line, then on the same machine
(although Im now remote) to edit it in to a dvd with menus with DVD
author.
