As the message indicates, there is a syntax error in 
/usr/share/menu/kompare. As this is not a file that is touched in any 
way by CrossOver I would recommend reporting the problem to your Linux 
distribution (that file was shipped with the kompare package). To work 
around this problem you can either edit the file and replace the bad 
character that follows "x11" by a space, or you can delete the file 
altogether.

Once that's done you may get your CrossOver menus back. If not you will 
need to tell us which desktop environment and Linux distribution you're 
using.
