I'm passing on an interesting discovery that Steve reported to me.

I guess it makes sense since, as far as I know, Windows does not support 
PostScript fonts if you don't install special software. So Illustrator 
probably included its own code to deal with them so it would not depend 
on Windows for it. That explains why it works in Wine once you make it 
the Unix PostScript font files visible to it.
