I upgraded my laptop from Kubuntu edgy to Kubuntu gutsy, I experienced no
problems what so ever.

Things can always mess up in a upgrade, so make sure you have a backup.

I don't know of any particular issues with Crossover and Gutsy. I do know that
it fixes a problem with XFS and Crossover+steam (whereby in Edgy it was
impossible to install under XFS because Steam kept seeing itself as running).

Edgy will still be supported until April 2008. After that, there will be no
more security updates.
Of course, the later software versions are only available under Gutsy.
