I'm pretty sure the Perl issues have been fixed in 6.2, so running
version 6.2 on Gutsy should not be any problem.  As far as I know,
CrossOver works great on Gutsy.

With all that said, you should be aware that the non LTS versions of Ubuntu
are the bleeding edge.  Now the Ubuntu guys have done a nice job making that
edge fairly polished, but it would always be wise to wait at least a month or two
after any such release before upgrading.  (That applies not just to CrossOver,
but in general).
