The short answer: probably not.

Right now, IE only runs well in a Windows 98 bottle.  That's not as
backwards as it sounds; the 'lower' a version of Windows we report,
the simpler an application will behave.  Hence, there is a counter
intuitive reality that it's better to use an older bottle flavor
in CrossOver than you might otherwise think.

I'd suggest trying this all in a Windows 98 bottle, and when you
come to the exact point where something says "XP required",
flip the version of the bottle temporarily to XP to
get over that hurdle, and then back to win98 once you're past the hurdle.
(To switch, go into the advanced configuration tab and select the
winecfg tool).

However, being quite honest - if this doesn't just work out of the box,
it may well not work with the current version.
