I have personally had good luck contacting developers (they actually
do answer usually) for various programs. The vast majority of them
are very helpful. The folks at Codeweavers, generally speaking, are
very happy to work with devs so they continue taking over the wor...er
I mean raise awareness among the development community about their
applications.
I have gotten many unsupported apps to work by using native DLLs from
Windows. If you start wine in literal/debug mode (I can't remember
off of the top of my head how to do this with CX but would be happy to
send that off to you this evening) and look at the last couple of
lines in the log file before the program dies it might give you a clue
as to which DLL file is causing you the grief. If you own a copy of
windows you can just grab that DLL file and install it in a directory
where CXOffice can access it and your problem may go away at that
point
