That is strange because this *is* a local console. It's true that I
want to use remote X somewhere down the road but I haven't tried to
crack that nut yet. I'll give of the glxinfo command when I get home
tonight. I guess I forgot to post the OS vital statistics: Ubuntu 7.04
AMD64, with all updates applied. Video card is nvidia something or
other. I'm pretty sure I'm not using the restricted driver set, though
I did try them out at one point. I'll verify this tonight also.
