Hi Manaen,
Actually, it's not really a lack of demand; we have clear demand for it.
There are two issues: First, the iTunes application is very finicky, and
very hard; improving it is an incredibly laborious process. Second, Apple
is changing it so rapidly, that it's very hard to catch up. For a while,
iTunes 4.X worked quite nicely, and we worked to keep it going, but Apple
made 4.X useless (disabled access to the store), thereby forcing us to
have to support 7.X in order to honestly claim support. And there is a new
7.X release just about every week, it seems...
The good news is that a lot of other folks in the Wine community
(thanks Juan!) have done some work on iTunes, so we're at least
part of the way there already.
