[cw-discuss] Clipboard problem in 6.1

I'm currently evaluating Crossover Linux 6.1 Standard on my Ubuntu
Feisty (7.04) to use Microsoft Office 2003. Basically it works very well
- the only problem is the clipboard in Outlook.

Cutting and pasting of text works in Word and also in Excel. It also
works in Outlook if I use Word as Mail Editor. But I'm not able to use
the clipboard in the native Outlook mail editor or in the Outlook mail
view. When I try to use any clipboard function, no matter if it's cut,
copy or paste, and no matter if I use one of the keyboard shortcuts or
the context menu, nothing happens. Cut and copy do not put anything
(new) in the clipboard, and paste does not paste existing text into the
editor. Clipboard works well though in the address and subject fields.

Because of that I suppose it has something to do with the RTF/HTML Edit
Control. If I understand it correctly, in my configuration the
"Crossover HTML engine" is used, since I only installed Microsoft Office
in that bottle. It automatically created a win2000 bottle as far as I
can determine, and it warns me about installing IE6 in this bottle,
which I thought could be a possible solution.

Does anybody have similar experiences, or probably also a solution?

I thought about ignoring the warning and trying to install IE6 anyway,
but want to make a backup of my setup first - is it enough to just tar
the directory ".cxoffice/bottle_name" for backing up all the
configuration?

Best regards,
