[cw-discuss] AutoCAD LT98 Won't Install

Greetings, I'm a Linux & CodeWeavers newbie having just started using Xandros
about 2 months ago. Anyway, I'm using Xandros HEP 4.1 & the bundled version
of CodeWeavers & I want to install A'CAD LT98 but when I try I can't get
past entering the serial no. The serial no. is in two parts; three digits
followed by eight more. There are two "text boxes" for the serial no. which
require three & eight digits respectively which appear & must be filled out
properly before installation can continue. My problem is that, using
CodeWeavers, the first box will only accept two digits of the first part of
the serial no. instead of the required three. Consequently I can't continue
with the installation because I always get an "invalid serial no." error
message.

I learned from a Xandros support forum that this happens with AutoCAD 2000
also. I also asked CodeWeavers sales for a price quotation to fix this
issue two weeks ago but I haven't heard so much as a 'thanks for your
interest; we'll get back to you' yet. Does anyone have a fix or workaround
for this? Thanks in advance.

Dave
