[cw-discuss] Photoshop CS[23]?

It might be bad form to discuss specific application support on this
list, given the chaos that could ensue if everyone did it with their
favourite app, but maybe just this once...? :o)

I was wondering why Photoshop CS, CS2 and presumably CS3 don't work
under Crossover? I know there are hacks available that reportedly might
get them to run, but officially they don't work. Given the importance of
Photoshop to many people, and the fact there's nothing like it in the
free software world, I'd have thought it would be something of a
priority. It remains the only reason I have 2 machines on my desk!

Photoshop 7.0, which is the latest CX-working Photoshop version, is now
pretty obsolete. There must be a reason why CS, CS2 and CS3 don't work,
and it must be quite a significant problem to have remained unsolved for
so long. Does anyone know what the problem is?
