If you pick one of our supported applications, CrossOver will
just assign it a bottle of the 'known best' flavor, so you
don't have to worry about it.

If you're installing an unsupported application, CrossOver
will encourage you to create a new bottle.  When it does so,
it will ask you what template to use, and the templates come
in version flavors; win98, win2000, and winxp.  We recommend
trying win2000 and win98 - use winxp only if the application
asks for it by name.  If you want to change a bottle after
the fact, in the advanced options you can launch a control
panel named 'winecfg' and the first option you'll see will
be the reported Windows version.
