[cw-discuss] Word 2000 won't launch (Mac)

Until last week I never had any serious problems running Word 2000
under Crossover on MacOSX 10.4. I'm currently on Crossover 6.0.1 and
MacOS 10.4.9; I can't remember whether I've successfully run Word 2000
since updating to the latest versions of either of those. At any rate,
if I try to launch Word, Crossover itself launches (if it wasn't
already running), and the Word badge bounces a few times on the
Crossover Dock icon, but the application never shows up. Sometimes I
do see the Word splash screen, but never the application interface.
I've tried emptying the Word startup folder and putting a fresh
Normal.dot file in it, but that doesn't make any difference, and I
don't know what else to try. Can anyone help?
