[cw-discuss] Problem with cxoffice 6 under ubuntu 6.10 : Refreshing desktop manager SLOW and buggy

Every time I install anything, the post-install 'Refreshing desktop
manager' part takes about 10 minutes and creates a directory
~/Desktop/My+Linux+Documents .

This directory sometimes contains copied data (once it was 500MB).
I have to manually delete this directory every time I install anything.

Is this a known bug under gnome/ubuntu 6.10 or something unique on my
machine? I have tons of smbfs/cifs/nfs mounts and I think it scans them
too since network activity goes up during the refresh period.
