We've been given a lot of (justifiable) grief for the lag in our application
database queue.  We're trying to fix the problem; we've got an
extra person (Jeremy) working on the problem now.

We're also trying to speed up the process; that means that
Jeremy took a short cut in an effort to do so.

Yes, it's less than ideal, but he made the call that speed
was more important than perfection of data on this application.

That's the explanation; it's not a design flaw with the database,
it's simply a human choice that was made as part of the process.
