[cw-discuss] xpressmail, Lotus Notes

I know this is totally unsupported, but.....
There is a program called xpressmail which allows my Cingular (AT&T)
pda (Treo) to read my corporate (Lotus Notes) email.
It requires a client on the pda and a program to be running on my
desktop.
Now here's the issue.
xpressmail seems to install and begins to run, in a win2000 bottle. It
won't install in a win98 bottle
However, my notes program (6.5.3) is set up in a win98 bottle.
So, I tried to install notes in the win2000 bottle, but either due to
user ignorance, or program incompatibility, the notes install never
completed. (It said it was interrupted)
So a few questions.
The only way I could get Lotus to try and install in a win2000 bottle
was to treat it as unsupported software and select a bottle. As noted
above, this failed.
Is there a right way to do this, and can it work?
Any other ideas out there?
I have a program on my Treo to access corporate Notes, but it's a space
pig and has other undesirable features. So getting xpress to be usable
is nice to have, but not crucial to my survival.
Thanks to all
