Hi Bernard,

What we recommend is that folks try applications first in CrossOver;
it's relatively painless, and if it works for you, then you're not
sending any money to Redmond, and you don't have the pain of
running a full copy of Windows on your Mac.

Obviously, if your application doesn't work, then that's
not so nice a choice. We, of course, would prefer that you get
engaged without community in our compatibility center, and 'pledge'
to show your interest and support. That way, we know better
where to focus our energies to best serve folks.

And that way, your money is spent helping to fund a very challenging,
but extremely crucial, open source project that holds the promise of
eventually freeing folks from having to send money to Redmond.

Realizing that most folks aren't so idealistic and are just practical,
if it doesn't (yet) work in CrossOver, then you'll likely need to turn to
one of Parallels/VMWare or Boot Camp to get the job done.

I've heard that USB devices with Parallels is a bit dicey, but they
have claimed it works; I have a sense that VMWare Fusion may be a bit further
ahead with that process. Boot Camp, obviously, should run it fine.

Frankly, I'd like the suggestion of the native Mac app; that
would probably bring you the most long term joy <grin>.

Finally, rumor has it that Garmin is releasing native Mac versions
of their software, so for those of you with Garmin devices, that
may be your best bet.

Cheers,

Jeremy
