But you are comparing apples and pears. Parallels and BootCamp allow you
to boot into a full installation of Windows XP (which you have to pay
for the license to run legally). Crossover does not require any payment
to Microsoft to work. So there are bound to be some things which it is
unable to do.
Saying that, not working with hardware such as serial ports does seem a
little wierd to me.
