Based on my experience it probably isn't you, so much as CrossOver's 
lack of support for connecting external hardware. What kind of GPS 
unit do you have and what kind of connection does it take? And what 
has your experience been with Parallels. (I haven't gotten Parallels 
to work either, because I'm trying to migrate from VPC6. They don't 
yet support that, but claim they will in the future, and I don't want 
to have to buy another copy of Windows.)
