Here's news about Sun's official release of their ODF Plugin for MS
Office versions 2000, XP, 2003

I hope to try this under CrossoverOffice Pro inside Microsoft OfficeXP SBE.

Another plugin is in the works from the OpenDocument foundation
codenamed "darwin".

The importance of the OpenDocument approach is not in the Office Suite,
nor the Desktop.  Rather the importance lies in the "Stack" of server
applications which integrate into the XML namespace.  Documents might
reference other document varriables within the XML namespace through a
web service on a server somewhere.  It's important that the Open Source
advocates don't use Microsoft's XML formats, because of licensing
limitations which will prohibit Open Source components from entering
Microsoft's XML namespace.

I think there are better words to describe what I'm trying to say when I
refer to "namespace" and "Stack".
