Thanks for the suggestion, Nic.
I am using a KeySpan USB adapter to create the serial port, and the
solution you pointed me to looks like it should work. It doesn't seem
to be working, though. I changed to the directory for the bottle I'm
using and created a symbolic link from KeySerial1 (the name the
Adapter assigns to the port it creates) to com1:, as directed. The
link shows up in the directory as com1/, which is guess is due the
the confusion OSX seems to have about whether the path separator
should be a colon or a slash. The program still doesn't see the port,
though.
Do I need to add a path or other identifier of some kind to the
adapter port name in order to get the link right?
Crossover only seemed to offer me a win2000 bottle when I installed
the software. Do I need a winxp bottle, and if so, how do I get one?
Any other suggestions?
