Hi Matt,
I had a similar problem with two versions of the Linux Flash player on the
same system. Firefox reported versions 7 and 9. I thought I had removed 7
before installing 9, turns out that the plugin is installed in several places
including my profile directory "/home/adrian/.mozilla....", the plugins
directory of the firefox install and a couple of others in /usr/lib. Once I
removed those and ensured I only had 9 everything worked fine.
I suggest looking for references to the Windows version in your profiles
directory or the Firefox plugins directory ( /usr/lib/firefox/plugins on my
system), I don't know what form the reference might take so perhaps somebody
else could help with that.
Best of luck,
Aj
