[cw-discuss] Linux/Windows Flash player conflict

Well, I spoke too soon about the "disable plugin" approach solving my
Linux/Windows Flash player problem. I've disabled the plugin in the COO
settings. I've also manually set my Linux FireFox to the correct Linux
Flash player path. But, while I thought that worked at first, it now
reverts to calling the COO/Windows player and here's the really weird
part: when I check about:plugins, there are two separate entries for
Shockwave/Flash - one for the Linux player and one for the Windows
player. The listing for the Windows player comes first, so maybe that's
why it still calls it even though it's been disabled (but I didn't
realize there could be duplicate listings for plugins - something sure
seems screwy).
So I decided to just uninstall the COO/Windows Flash player but the
Remove/Repair button is grayed out! It's starting to look like my only
real option is to uninstall COO itself and start over, unless anybody
has any more ideas. Clearly something went wrong with the Flash player
install somehow. Not sure what it could have been.
