I use Gentoo with roughly the same updates except kernel.  I'm still at 
2.6.16 r13.  I've had some issues with kernels >=2.6.18.  I use Mplayer 
and KMplayer to play my cameras .mov files.  Pretty decent quality.  
I've got a few shorts on my scooter and you can hear the radio playing 
over the noise of the wind and pipes.
