[cw-discuss] Quicktime

I'm having some difficulty with quicktime, which is a supported app, on 
my gentoo box (updated to end 2006) running KDE 3.5.5, crossover 5.0.1, 
kernel 2.6.19. It installs automatically by download with no outward 
errors but no menu items are produced and it doesn't appear on the list 
of windows apps although it does produce an icon on the desktop. 
However, it crashes KDE every time it is run so I have no idea if it 
works or not. I need it to display the .mov files from my camera. Anyway 
to debug this or find an alternative? I've tried xine and that displays 
the video ok but the sound is terrible.
