[cw-discuss] Installing Word from Works Suite

Hello,

I am new to Crossover Office (just purchased it a couple of days ago).

I am now having trouble installing Word 2002 from MS Works Suite 2003.
I realize that I was probably too optimistic when I read "Word 2002"
among the supported applications, and also didn't realize that there
is a difference between MS Office and MS Works Suite.

Anyway, when I try to install the whole Works Suite the installation
hangs and repeats one step over and over again, without finishing the
installation (I tried it yesterday, and it repeated that same
operation for over two hours).

I also tried to install Word only, but the installation seems to be
corrupted (on first launching it tells me Word belongs to an
unregistered user and is uninstalled... whatever that means).

I have also been to the Wine website and found a description on how to
install Works 6.0. But that requires a complete installation on
Windows, and obviously, I don't have Windows at the moment.

I just thought somebody may have been through the same thing and might
know a solution to my problem.... other than buying a used copy of MS
Office on eBay.
