Cool; that's a nice clue.

It's not a network problem, per se.  The trick is to figure out what
network related function is timing out on you, though.

I've seen this happen with CUPS before.  Might be worth running
the attached tcups binary at a command line; if it takes 5 minutes,
then that's your problem.  (Source is attached so you can see I'm not
being malicious).

If it's not that, then something else is timing out in the
process, and I don't have any further ideas; a ticket would
be your best bet.
