That doesn't ring a bell with me.  We've had a lot of issues with FC6,
but usually they crash right away.

We do have specific advice around FC6 on our FAQ; you might want to try
that, just in case.

One side question:  do you have a lot of CUPS printers on your network,
with some a long ways away from you?  (Or, as a test, you might try
shutting off all network devices and see if performance suddenly leaps).
