Hi Manaen,
I've been to SCALE in the past, and I agree that it's a good show.
And we love to go out to these sorts of things and meet folks;
it's great fun (for me, in particular, I'm a very social person :-/).
We do make it to the LinuxWorld show in San Francisco each year
in August. Sadly, from there, we've really pulled back from
Linux shows (we used to go to a lot more). Here's the thing:
we're a pretty lean and efficient organization, so when we
do a trade show, we don't have a huge marketing staff; we send whoever
can go, which often includes developers. And while we love to
meet and talk with folks, the honest truth is that you really
want our developers on their computers, improving Wine.
And our bookkeeper likes it better that way, because then there
aren't all those expense reports for her to process either...
Now if you're ever in Minnesota, we love to roll out the
red carpet for anyone who visits our office in St. Paul, so
feel free to stop by!
Cheers,
Jeremy
