[cw-discuss] USB Devices, MIDI, and Audio

Good afternoon,

I have a music software program (Home Concert Xtreme) which seems to
run remarkably well in CrossOver. However, the crucial features of
MIDI Input and MIDI Output are not present.

Here are my questions:

--Is is possible to connect a USB device to the Bootle? If so, can it
be a MIDI device, such as a MIDI interface or keyboard? I have not
found a way to do that.

--On Windows, the operating system includes the built-in software
synth called Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth and presents it to
applications as a possible MIDI Output device. In CrossOver, I don't
see that option. However, the Audio tab in my Wine configuration
window does show CoreAudio Driver as an emulated Sound Driver. Should
I expect this to substitute QuickTime GM Synth for an audio output
option? Again, no such option shows up in my program.

I am running CrossOver 6.0.

Thanks!
George
