The mouse functions, but isn't visible. If I hover or click on a cell
in Excell 2002(XP) it will work, but it is confusing for the user since
they only get context hints on where the mouse is.

Sometimes this user is using two different bottles simultaneously.
I've just setup a special WINEPREFIX under /opt/wine-screenjet where
I've created a wine-0.9.30 installation of the Screenjet program.

Sorry, this message is somewhat out of order. The problem is resolved
in an earlier post, but this describes the problems a little more so for
completeness I'll post this message.

One thing I'm noticing though in this Ubuntu LTSP5 environment relating
to Wine:
When the mouse is working and I pass out of the wine application's
window there is for a couple instants two mouse icons.
Maybe I the autodetect of the Xserver driver should be set to vesa for
this workstation. I havn't noticed the problem on any other system
yet. We've tested it with the 1.5 series of FreeNX and the 1.5 version
on Nomachine.

I think Ubuntu had some Xorg updates for the 6.10 edition, so I'll
chroot into the LTSP environment and do an apt-get upgrade to see if
that helps.

In the error condition the mouse works just fine over native Linux
applications.
