Quicken is the last survivor of the first round of "checkbook" 
programmes from the mid-1980's.  I had Quicken v2.0 for DOS way back in 
1989.  They've migrated through newer and significantly more *bloated* 
versions since then.  The only reason I even upgraded to Quicken98 was 
because Quicken 4.0/Win had incompatibilities with Windows NT.

Microsoft Money is nothing more than Microsoft's attempt to steal an 
existing market from another software vendor.
