Likewise looking for an answer. A while ago I wanted to do just that to 
my GPS which was detected as /dev/sde and mounted as /media/TOMTOMGO700.
I created links to /dev/sde and to /media/TOMTOMGO700 for various drive 
letters under dosdevices, but it just wasn't seen by Crossover office.
