What's the locale of your Linux system? Crossover sets date format and other
locale dependent settings basing on the locale of the underlying system.
First thing to try is to run

~/cxoffice/bin/wine --wl-app notepad

press F5 (print date/time) as see in which format it is. Then run (for
an example) with 

LANG=en_GB ~/cxoffice/bin/wine --wl-app notepad

and see if the date/format changes. Then just set a proper locale in your
system.
