[cw-discuss] a problems with hrd

Hi All.
I'm trying to get HRD to run under cxoffice, and getting this :-
"Creating c:\windows\profiles\crossover\Application Data\Simon Brown, HB9DRV\
Ham radio delux\HRD Logbook.mdb
Component not found in the registry
Check that the target folder exists and is not write protected"

so I did:-
locate Logbook.mdb
/home/richard-g8jvm/.cxoffice/Ham/drive_c/Program Files/Amateur Radio/Ham Radio Deluxe/HRDLogbook.mdb
/home/richard-g8jvm/.cxoffice/Ham/drive_c/windows/profiles/crossover/Application Data/Simon Brown, HB9DRV/Ham Radio
Deluxe/HRDLogbook.mdb
  BUT
[richard-g8jvm at gb7tf ~]$ ls -l /home/richard-g8jvm/.cxoffice/Ham/drive_c/windows/profiles/crossover/Application Data/Simon Brown,
HB9DRV/Ham Radio Deluxe/HRDLogbook.mdb

ls: cannot access Data/Simon: No such file or directory
ls: cannot access Brown,: No such file or directory
ls: cannot access HB9DRV/Ham: No such file or directory
ls: cannot access Radio: No such file or directory
ls: cannot access Deluxe/HRDLogbook.mdb: No such file or directory
This does not make sense as :-

and all that file contains is one "#"


can anyone see why  ???? it wont list 


There is something very strange here if I'm in a directory in the Ham bottle, I can't do a "ls" for any directory
 higher up the tree
for example if I'm in the last branch and type " ls -la /home"
it returns "no such file or directory"

And here's something really weird
If I go to the lowest branch one step at a time, listing each directory I'm in at each step, and then
go back up the tree doing a "ls -la /home" it returns " no such file or directory.

However, if I do exactly the same going down the tree one branch at a time it lists the contents of /home each time correctly.


Even as root this happens

bash: cd: /home/richard-g8jvm/.cxoffice/Ham/drive_c/windows/profiles/crossover/Application: No such file or directory

Ideas ????
