Hello,
I might be wrong, but usually, the viewers (word, excel, powerpoint) use
the main technology of the office software to view the file without the
editing capabilities. So it is reasonable to expect that if Office 2007
do not work with CrossOver Linux 6.0.1, the viewer will not work since
both products use the same functions. I believe the viewer won't work
before Codeweavers make serious headway with Office 2007 support. To be
fair, I believe it is an important undertaking since the inner working
of Office did change quite a lot.
However, if you need to access the XML format of Office 2003, I think
there is an add-on to allow Office 2003 to access these file formats.
This might be your best option for the moment. I believe the traditional
formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt) did not change significantly between both
versions, so you should still be able to access all documents with
Office 2003 without problem.
