[cw-discuss] Quicken Premier 2005 & CXO 5.0.3

Hi,

1) My AMD64 Gentoo machine has CXO 5.0.0 installed. Quicken Premier
2005 has been installed on it for quite awhile. It works, albeit with
a number of small problems. I do not use it much anymore though.

2) My wife wanted to try some specific financial modeling using
Quicken so I downloaded the newer CXO 5.0.3 version from the
Codeweavers website and installed CXO on her IA32 Gentoo machine. I
then attempted to install from the same retail Quicken CD. The
installation of Quicken went fine but when I start the program it
tells me the Quicken files are damaged and Quicken needs to be
reinstalled. I tried reinstalling but it failed the same way.

   I didn't feel like or have the time to be messing with this and we
needed to make forward progress quickly so we purchased a copy for our
Mac. Game over. It just worked.

   Maybe someone at Codeweavers would want to look into whether recent
changes in Wine or CXO itself have broken new Quicken 2005 installs. I
do not remember having these problems earlier. If anyone would like
specific information please contact me and I'll try to send it along.
Having spent cash on a new version of Quicken I am unmotivated at this
point to spend very much time on this.
