All fair, but unrealistic. Realistically, webmaster have stopped caring.
Seriously. Several have specifically posted notes saying, "Yes, we know we
only support IE. No, we don't care about your other browsers. Use IE or go
away." And, they can *safely* post something like that because the vast
majority of the Internet surfers still use IE.
Geeks like us are in the small 5%. And that's where we're staying. And
there's no real business win in making the 5% happy. Right? Any business
knows of the 95/5 rule. Five percent of your customers are *ALWAYS* going
to be unhappy. Focus your attention on the other 95%.
The same applies here. Realistically, there aren't enough folks that're
going to care if you (or I, or a few other geeks) stop visiting their site.
Thus the need for IE on the Mac. Unfortunately.
