I don't disagree with any of this. It's not just website designers, though, it's people who make enterprise applications like Siebel. The Siebel CRM client is "web based" but it won't run in anything but IE on Windows. Might as well have it's own installable client.

Back to the website issue, though, a web developer on a Mac may want to easily test how well their website renders in IE in addition to everything else. Even if *we* don't necessarily agree with using IE, it's always a good idea to ensure your website renders well in *all* browsers, including IE.
