[cw-discuss] How to "install" applications that don't have an%0A%09installer? (Crossover Mac)

I was also annoyed by not having icons for programs that did not need
installing so I just packaged up the files in the folder using the windows
installer creator Redshift available from http://stormdance.net/ and then
used this 'install' file to add my software.

Redshift runs fine under cx but if you want to do it this way then you
must make sure there are no system file like .DS_Store in amongst the pc
files otherwise the installer will get stuck.

I used this to install things like Irfanview which runs fine but its own
installer does not work.

Ideally I would like a shortcut manager where I could choose programs and
their icons and more importantly be able to delete icons, also it would be
great to have some type of extension manager so that files open using the
correct application.

I have been pretty impressed so far, as KeyNote works flawlessly, the
first wine version in which it has been rock solid and I am able to insert
and view bitmaps.
