At this stage, the major roadblock to migrating my brother (and possibly 
others) to Linux is *offline* auction posting tools for eBay.  As my 
brother doesn't have DSL (and it looks like it won't be at his house for 
another 2 years or more), offline tools are essential (eBay has probably 
the slowest website around, even *with* broadband) if you want to sell 
any decent volume there.  And, at present, the only somewhat usable 
tools use Access backends or .NET.  None of which will work under Wine 
or CXO.

Of course, the other day my brother was watching one of those Macintosh 
commercials after a particularly irritating session with Windows, and 
asked how much better they really were....  I'm sorely tempted to have 
him get a MiniMac his next upgrade cycle (hey, it's still Unix-based).
