[cw-discuss] Java JVM & MagicDraw in CXO

I was wondering if anyone else out there has found a solution...

At work, under Mandriva 2006 (I know, I know ...), we installed
native Linux MagicDraw -- it refuses to redraw the screen correctly
when scrolling a window or using various functions. Since it is
Java app, we tried a couple of different JVM versions with no luck.

The Windows version of MagicDraw works great under WinXP on manager's
desktops (try getting them to run Linux!), and so we loaded the
Windows version in Linux under CXO 5.0.1 Pro. It works perfectly,
assuming you get the right version of JVM installed -- except that
it can't print.

Our work around right now is to use MagicDraw for Windows from CXO
to create our work, and then to use MagicDraw Linux to print them.

Two questions:
Can we talk you guys at CodeWeavers into offering a direct install
of a Java JVM from the CXO Configuration tool? Something similar
to the way IE6 is loaded now.

How about MagicDraw for Windows support? A lot of software developers
design their programs in UML, and MagicDraw is a nice application
for that that is far cheaper than, say, Rational Rose.
