Thanks Jeremy,

I do have this working ... and pdf's are generated. 

But, the problem I have is that pdf's generated from native windows are 
better ( includes metadata & file is searchable ).  There are numerous 
word plugins which can do this, from the expensive like acrobat down to 
freeware.  But I've not been able to get any of these working from 
within crossover - these plugins seem to use a special printerdriver to 
do some of the conversions, crossover doesn't appear to support these.

It would seem that the process of word -> wine ps driver -> ps -> linux 
print system -> ghostscript -> pdf  looses information on the way.

I was hoping that someone has managed to get a "export to pdf" button 
working inside of word.
